Post by Mimi Marquez on Jan 14, 2006 14:27:53 GMT -5
Light peeked through the shutters and Mimi woke. Maureen had fallen asleep sitting down on the chair next to Mimi's bed. Mimi sat up, and leaned over and kissed Maureen on the lips. This was before the thoughts of yesterday sank in. "Good morning, Maureen." Yesterday started to set in again, and one single tear ran down her face. She wiped it away, and got up. Mimi walked into the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. What now? What do I do...?

Post by Maureen Johnson on Jan 14, 2006 15:36:00 GMT -5
Maureen groaned and shifted herself almost falling off the chair. It only took a couple of seconds before all of what had happened the previous day came back. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked around. Mimi had went into the bathroom and Maureen got up walking around. Her neck was stiff from sleeping like that. Drawing the curtains she had to look away. The bright sun was blinding. There was a clock hanging on the wall and Maureen blinked trying to look at it. Eleven O'clock. She walked over to the couch and sat down on it waiting for Mimi.

Joanne woke several hours ago and was now sitting at work. She had definatly taken notice that Maureen was not there next to her and began to bug her. I wonder if she relizes what she does to me when she dosen't come home? She worked the best she could for a few hours. The thoughts of what happened yesterday still popping into her mind and she knew that since Maureen didn't come home she was with Mimi, Right where she really wanted to be.

Day 2

Post by Roger Davis on Jan 14, 2006 21:39:12 GMT -5
Roger woke up, the tears from the previous night dried all over his face. He sat up and a flood of thoughts from the previous night filled his mind, causing him to hold his head from the immense amount of thinking and hurting. He went into the bathroom and washed his face, rubbing the dried salt water of his face. He pulled a fleece over his outfit from yesterday and ran down the stairs, stopping for a moment outside of Mimi's room and he hesitated and thought about knocking on the door but he decided against it. He'd deal with her later. He got a cup of coffee and sat down on the bench where he found Mimi the other day, and where she was found a year ago. He sat there, sipping his steaming coffee and leaned back, trying to figure out what to do. He still loved her...a lot. He took the ring out of his pocket and looked at it, remembering the secretiveness of the jobs that he played at so he could save up. He could remember the elated feeling when he was able to buy the ring and he thought of the life that they would live together...or would've lived if yesterday hadn't happened. After an hour, his hands became numb and he stood up and walked back to his apartment. He walked up the stairs and locked his door. He picked up his guitar and laid down on his bed, playing chords, trying to think of a new song because "Your Eyes" was Mimi's song. A song he couldn't play anymore since Mimi wanted...Maureen.

Mimi finally emerged from the bathroom. While she was in there though, she tried to make herself look somewhat decent. She walked out in the living room and sat down next to Maureen and leaned on her. What she had just asked herself she asked Maureen, "What now?" Mimi took Maureen's hand, they were now in a relationship and all.

Maureen was still groggy but when Mimi grabbed her hand she just smiled and was suddenly awake. She got up and kneeled on the couch in front of Mimi pushing her down. "Wanna go out later?" She lowered herself against Mimi and kissed her on the lips.

Day 2

Post by Roger Davis on Jan 18, 2006 16:41:18 GMT -5
Roger fiddled around with his guitar but couldn't help playing "Your Eyes". He couldn't get Mimi out of his head...or his heart. He wanted her back so bad but he knew that wasn't what she wanted. Since he could never love someone like her, he figured that he should just go find random girls. Maybe go to the cat scratch club and hook up with someone there. Anything to get Mimi out of his head. He pondered all this while rocking back and forth, curled up like a baby. He took the ring out again and just looked at it. He wanted to still give it to her, let her keep it. He had no use for it now that he had scrimped and saved and bought it. Might as well give it as a parting gift. He stood up and found a piece of paper, writing a note to mimi
Dear Mimi, If only words came easy at a time like this. I regret my choice but as long as you're happy I'll learn to live with myself. Maybe we'll still be friends, maybe not. But I would like you to keep this, as a parting gift and as a token for the best two years of my life.If I could, I'd give you my heart since your name will forever be written and have claim on it. Let this ring never allow you to forget me and what we shared, and let it show that you still pocess the key to me heart. Love-forever more, Roger.
As he wrote the final words, a tear ran down his cheek, landing on the paper. It hurt him to do so, but he knew it needed to be done for his sake...and for hers. He slipped the letter and the ring, after one final kiss, into an envelope and walked down the stairs for the second time that day. He debated on putting it by her door, but Maureen might get it and hide it from her. He moved on and went to the one place where he knew Mimi would find it - the Cat Scratch Club ((she still works there, right?? if not i'll change it then)). He walked down the street, the blistering wind striking at him. He finally got to safety and went into the dressing room. The girls knew him and often let him in due to the fact he usually left little gifts and they didn't think anymore of it. He put the letter and ring in her makeup case, knowing she'd find it eventually. There was nothing to do but get drunk and wait.

Maureen was still groggy but when Mimi grabbed her hand she just smiled and was suddenly awake. She got up and kneeled on the couch in front of Mimi pushing her down. "Wanna go out later?" She lowered herself against Mimi and kissed her on the lips. Mimi kissed her back, it felt good to feel loved. "Why don't we go out now? I don't have work till 8. How...do you think Rrrrroger is doing?" Mimi stuttered when she got to his name. Mimi couldn't believe it was over between them, maybe, she could get him back....No, she wanted to try to be with Maureen. She had to know. Mimi looked at Maureen, that glow about her was still there. As long as Maureen "glowed" Mimi would love her, but if it were to diminish...It would be over...Mimi would be....alone. Without Roger, without Maureen, without....love. Love was all Mimi ever believed she needed to have, without it she would die. She would want to die, from drugs, AIDS, anything. At that point life wouldn't matter to her.((ooc: This is somewhat off-topic, but that's how my bf broke up with me....Gave me a necklace for a parting gift....it was complicated....so yeah...I'm done.))

"Yea, ok." Maureen got up and walked over to the chair she had fallen asleep on. She grabbed her bag and put it on her shoulder. "Where do you wanna go?" She smiled at Mimi and sat back down next to her.
