Maureen woke up and looked around until she remembered where she was. Mimi was still asleep so she got up quietly. Had Maureen ever learned how to cook, she may have attempted breakfast, not that Mimi even had much food anyway. The clock on the wall chimed informing Maureen it was noon. She went into the bathroom to wash up a little and then sat on the couch. As she sat there she noticed a box on the table near the end of the couch. It was a cute little box with sequence all over it. She smiled and opened it. When she looked inside she stopped smiling immediately. There were tons of bags filled with a white powder. She closed the box and walked back into Mimi's room. Mimi was still in a dead sleep. Maureen sat down next to her on the bed stroking her hair and contemplating what she was going to do.

Day 3

Post by Roger Davis on Jul 8, 2006 19:44:28 GMT -5
Roger listened as Mark poured out his soul and he felt confused. He had never imagined himself as popular, charming, goodlooking, none of that. I can't believe he felt like that. And all this time I had no idea. "Mark, if it's any consolation, I never thought of it like that. I had April, sure, but that...Then there was Mimi. I can't find someone new. She was it." Roger yawned and he started walking towards his bedroom before turning to face Mark. "Let's go to bed and then...maybe sleep will make this better." He forced a smile before retreating into his room, hoping that sleep would make everything would be better.
Morning came and he reluctantly got out of bed, groggily making his way out of his room and into the kitchen where he put a pot of coffee on. The aroma filled his nose and he poured himself a cup, sitting on the windowseat of their apartment, looking out. Has Mimi read my note yet..

Post by Mark Cohen on Jul 9, 2006 12:00:50 GMT -5
Mark said nothing and trudged off to bed, he slept restlessly or hardly at all, he couldn't figure it out. He woke up, just as tired and sad. Not quite ready to face the morning, Mark laid there, staring at the ceiling until he forced himself to get out of bed.
Walking out of his room, he passed Roger and tried to appear as calm and neutral as always. 'Morning.'
((OOC: I keep changing info for when I'll be away...so I'd check...but I'll probably get online, I know the 25-30th I will))

Mimi woke at the touch of Maureen's hand. She rolled over to face Maureen. "Hey," Mimi whispered. "What time is it....What's wrong?" Mimi noticed the look on Maureen's face. "What?" Mimi sat up and yawned. She scratched her head, and looked at Maureen waiting for her to say something. As Mimi waited she thought, what if it's about last night... She added, "If it's about last night, I thought it was great, ImeanIknowIprobablywasn'tthebest,butItried...." Mimi rambled on....

Maureen laughed slightly. "No, it was great." She smiled weakly. Should I say something? She looked at Mimi staring back at her. "I found your box." Maureen paused for a minute. "Why are you doing this? You can't.... you have to stop." She wasn't used to this, it was Rogers job to yell at her and tell her to stop. She didn't even know if Mimi would care to listen to her. Maureen put her hands on top of Mimi's and waited.

Mimi smiled at the word great. Then Maureen brought up the drug issue. Mimi stuttered at what she quickly pulled from her mind, "Oh,You found that huh. I'm just holdin' onto it, I'm trying to get rid of it." Mimi got up and went into her bathroom. She mumbled, splashed her face with water and looked up in the mirror. "And no, I'm not gonna use all that...I'm going to sell it. Somehow, the hospital bills have found me, and dancing isn't enough to cover it." Mimi plopped down on the couch. She glanced at her denim skirt on the floor with its bulging pocket holding the note that would change everything. But before she read it, curiousity made her wonder something about Maureen. "Hey....Have you ever tried it? Would you want to...? I can save a little..." She held her breath at the thought of Maureen saying yes...To both.
ooc: I know that's alot, I hope it all fits....

Maureen stopped suddenly surprised by Mimi's questions. "NO...OF COURSE NOT!" She realized she was yelling and lowered her voice. "Sorry, but what are you thinking?" She sighed and sat down next to her on the couch leaning her head on Mimi's shoulder. "You're going to sell it all, and I better get some proof that you really did sell it." She ran her hand through Mimi's hair. It had become comforting to her somehow. "You can't be hurting yourself like this... again."

" I know. I just thought you'd try it, maybe one of those 'you gotta try it at least once'. So, yeah, I'll get rid of it all. It's not that hard. I just let all my druggies know, and I'll get it to them." Mimi felt as if she had to defend herself, but she then realized there was no need so she calmed herself. "No, I'm sorry. I just, ugh. Well, I should probably get dressed. Do you want to borrow some of my clothes so you don't have to wear the same thing again. Just pick out whatever you like. I'll be right back." Mimi picked up what she was going to wear plus her denim skirt. She walked into the bathroom and shut the door. She dressed herself in (a different) denim skirt, fishnets, a black tank top, and a purple baggy sweater with holes. When she finished, she put the lid down on the toilet and sat down. She picked up the skirt once more, and pulled out the envelope. She dumped it out onto her lap, and noticed there wasn't just a note, but a ring. The ring she wanted for so long, and wanted for when she would get married. "Oh, my..." He, was going to propose... Mimi quickly unfolded the note, and in the excitement of all of this she tore it ever so slightly.
It read:
Dear Mimi, If only words came easy at a time like this. I regret my choice but as long as you're happy I'll learn to live with myself. Maybe we'll still be friends, maybe not. But I would like you to keep this, as a parting gift and as a token for the best two years of my life.If I could, I'd give you my heart since your name will forever be written and have claim on it. Let this ring never allow you to forget me and what we shared, and let it show that you still pocess the key to me heart. Love-forever more, Roger.
Mimi began to cry and held both the note and ring to her chest. Everything from now to the beginning of Roger and her's relationship flashed through her mind. She sat there and contemplated on what to do next. Then she realized what she should do, but it wasn't going to be. Mimi dried her tears, and gently slid the ring on her engagement ring finger. Mimi then whispered, "Poor Maureen, what have I done? Again..." She sighed and quietly emerged from the bathroom. She sat on her bed and waited for Maureen to be finished with whatever she was doing.

Maureen picked out a pair of ripped jeans and a pink halter top and put it on. After she heard Mimi return to her room she went in to join her. Once she got in however, she noticed a ring on her finger and paused. "What's that?" She stared at the ring knowing very well what it was.

"Maureen, I, I have to go to him, it's where I'm supposed to be....See look, I've killed him enough as it is, he needs me, and I need him." Mimi handed Maureen the note, and kept staring at her hands which laid on her lap. "After all of this, I don't know if he will want me back, but I've got to try. I mean, I love you and all, but, I love him too." Mimi looked up at Maureen, and that light she once saw was fading.

Maureen stood there for a minute before she was able to do or say anything. "He doesn't need you... you don't need him!" She paced around for a second. No one dumped her, she dumped everyone else. Why would Mimi be doing this? "YOU KNOW WHAT?" She stopped realizing she couldn't think of anything to say at the moment due to her anger. She stormed out of the room and knew that Mimi was following her. When she got near the end of the couch she turned around and looked back at Mimi who seemed upset. Maureen didn't care if she was upset though, SHE was the one who should be upset. She opened the box sitting on the table and grabbed a handful of the packets shoving them into her bag. She glared at Mimi while shaking her hand and throwing down the box containing the rest of the packets. She saw Mimi open her mouth in an effort to say something but Maureen didn't care. She ran out of the room without looking back at Mimi who was standing helplessly in the doorway. She didn't need her.

"MAUREEN?! What are you doing?!" Mimi ran after her, in effort to see if she was okay....And to get her stash back. Mimi chased after her, but Maureen was quick. "HEY! Slow down!!!!!" Mimi finally caught up with her and grabbed onto her shoulders. "I know this is hard, but come on! What are you doing with my stash? Here, let's just sit and talk this out like civilized people. Okay?" Mimi sat down on the stairs pulling Maureen with her.
